PaySimple API 5 is the newest (beta) version of the PaySimple API. At this time, it does not have all of the same features as API 4, so you will likely need to access both.

Primary uses of API 5 include:

  • Creating catalog items and custom fields programmatically for use in embeddables
  • Configuring webhooks
  • Receiving payment status updates via webhooks
  • Receiving a webooking indicating a payment has been created, then retrieving associated custom field data via the get order endpoint

API 5 is currently in beta and is still subject to modifications.
